FIFA cover reveals have always been a source of interest, so to capitalise on the excitement we did a live reveal with Premier League players, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Hart. Promoted by social media and OOH ads on LED boards at matches the previous weekend. Live YouTube stream on EA Sports channel, and hosted by Sky Sports presenter Adam Leventhal. It featured The Ox in studio, with Hart joining remotely.
Results
The reveal achieved 80 pieces of coverage, had 60,000 views of the live stream and highlights package within 24 hours, social media buzz levels increased by 928% (vs. FIFA 12 cover reveal), achieved 5 concurrent UK Twitter trends and was shortlisted for Sports Industry Awards for ‘Best Use of Social Media’ and Highly Commended at the 2013 Football Business Awards.
